UNICAL: Releases Post-UTME dates

SCREENING OF POST-UTME CANDIDATES FOR ADMISSION INTO THE UNIVERSITY OF CALABAR FOR THE 2013/2014 SESSION
The Post-UTME Online Registration will be shut down on Friday August 16, 2013 by 12:midnight while the Screening exercise will be on Friday August 23, 2013 and Saturday August 24, 2013 respectively.

Special Notice:

Ensure your DATA FORM is showing your JAMB registration number, otherwise, login and re-print your DATA FORM.

ELIGIBILITY
All candidates who scored 180 and above in the 2013 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) are eligible to apply.

MODE OF APPLICATION
Interested candidates are required to purchase a Scratch Card or Electronic Pin (E-Pin) by paying a non-refundable form application fee of N2,650 (two thousand, six hundred and fifty naira only) through the procedure indicated below:

Walk into any branch of Enterprise Bank Plc or Zenith Bank Plc.Request to make payment for University of Calabar Post-UTME 2013/2014 application form. Pay the sum of N2,650 (two thousand, six hundred and fifty naira only) and obtain the payment slip containing a unique PIN.

Go online to the Post-UTME website postutme.org
Log on with the generated PIN on the payment slip to fill the Post-UTME application form.
Follow on-screen instructions to fill and submit the form.

Candidates can also log on using scratch cards available for purchase at any of these banks in Calabar. Unical Microfinance Bank Ltd. FCMB Plc Wema Bank Plc Enterprise Bank Plc

DEADLINE
Registration will shut down at 12.00 midnight on Monday, 16th August, 2013.
REQUIREMENTS
Candidates are required to come with the following items for the screening exercise: 2013/2014 original UTME result slip showing candidate’s photograph. HB pencil, eraser and a ball point pen.

NOTE :
Impersonation is a serious offence and anyone caught impersonating will be handed over to the Law Enforcement Agents. Any Candidate who fails to take part in the screening exercise automatically loses his or her chance of being considered for admission. GSM handsets, calculators, or any other extraneous materials MUST NOT be brought into the screening venue. Such materials, if confiscated, will not be returned to their owners. Parents/Guardians should please stay away from the University campus on the screening days. They should stop by the gate. Early commencement of registration is advised to avoid web congestion in the dying hours.

SECOND METHOD: THE PAPER SCRATCH CARD OPTION
First choice Post UTME scratch card are available for those who reside in Calabar or have difficulties in obtaining the e-scratch card receipt:

On obtaining the scratch card, proceed to any internet facility, Logon to http://postutme.org on the home page, you will be required to select your faculty and department before you enter you JAMB score/Registration number and your scratch card number against the field provided. Click on logon and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the form.
FINAL STEP
Confirm your entries before clicking on submit. After clicking on submit, print the form as evidence of your registration and bring it along to the screening venue. Download the version of Practice Questions related to your faculty/programme after filling the online application.

INSTRUCTIONS ON USE/HANDLING OF THE OMR SHEET
Do not accept or use any OMR sheets where the dark rectangles along the left edge are faint or are not sharply defined.
Do not bend the corners of the OMR sheets.
Do not crumple, squeeze or fold the sheets.
Do not press hard on the sheets while shading the answers such that bumps appear on the other side.
Ensure that the OMR sheet is completely flat at all times.
Check the back of the OMR sheet for your course code. Do this carefully to avoid shading the wrong code.
Ensure that your course code is correctly shaded.
Ensure that your Jamb registration number and Name are correctly shaded.
CONTRAVENTION OF ANY OF THE ABOVE REGULATIONS/ GUIDELINES MAY RESULT IN THE INVALIDATION OF SHEETS AND THEREFORE NO RESULTS!!!
